Cyclone Lateral Exhaust Hoods are offered in both Single Slot and Double Slot models. They are appropriate for general ventilation purposes in the electroplating and chemical process industries. Exhaust hoods should be selected according to sound engineering practice to capture contaminants rising from or being liberated at the surface of the tank or from the surfaces of the parts that are removed from the tank.

Cyclone Hoods are offered in both PVC and polypropylene (PP) materials. PVC hoods are fabricated from gray colored material as standard, with white PVC available as a special order. PP hoods are fabricated from blue colored material. However, white, black and natural PP material is also available as a special order. Selection of PP material should be specified when the exhaust fume temperatures exceed 130° F or when the contaminant fumes are corrosive to PVC. Please refer to a standard material selection chart to help you make your choice of material.

As recommended by the Industrial Ventilation Handbook, Cyclone Exhaust Hoods are tapered to optimize airflow. They are designed to mount on the back surface of the tank or tanks being ventilated. Blast gates are provided to allow for adjustment of the slot opening. A single slot is provided as standard, with additional slots provided upon request.
